Movie Trailer Roundup - Russell Crowe, Horny Camp, John Brown And More

Unhinged

Conceptually, I love this movie. I think all of us have had at least one run-in with an insane person like this on the road, in public etc. and were scared how it was going to turn out. Whether or not this movie can nail the execution, though, is another question. This movie is also being released in theaters as a litmus test for big Rona, which kind of sucks cause this is definitely a movie I'd love to stream. This stars Crowe, Jimmi Simpson (McPoyle) and Caren Pistorius (Mortal Engines). Derrick Borte (American Dreamer) directed. The scheduled release is June 1st.

A movie about being too horny seems almost tailor made for my interests. I also very much enjoy both Natalia Dyer and former guest of the pod Timothy Simons. Karen Maine (Obvious Child) wrote and directed.

Shirley

I really don't know much about Shirley Jackson (author of "The Haunting of Hill House"), but this makes me intrigued. We recently reviewed 'The Invisible Man' and my one reservation about the movie was that I wasn't sure if Moss's crazy-acting was too over-the-top or not. Well, she killed it in that movie and I think she will kill it in this. Plus, you can't go wrong with the king Michael Stuhlbarg. This is from director Josephine Decker (Bi The Way) and is scheduled for release June 5th.

End of Sentence

I feel like I've seen this movie a few times before, but at the same time I'm kind of looking forward to it? I might just be a sucker for a good father-son story. This stars Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) and John Hawkes (Deadwood). It is also director Elfar Adalsteins first full-length picture. I can't find a release date, but the reviews for this are pretty damn good.

John Brown was a genuinely fascinating dude, and this looks like an equally…fascinating series. It took me a while to nail down the exact vibe they were going for, but I think I can define it as weird. And I love that. This stars Ethan Hawke, Daveed Diggs and more. It premieres on showtime August 9th.
