Nick Leddy Gets Threatened On Twitter, Now I'm Threatening The Threaten-er

(source)–The latest disturbing case of Twitter threats involves Islanders defenseman Nick Leddy and Sydney Esiason, who is the girlfriend of Leddy’s teammate Matt Martin and daughter of WFAN host and former Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason.

Leddy has been getting threatening messages for months from the now-suspended @NoorsSlut account, according to TSN. But it reached a new level Tuesday when the user posted an image of Leddy’s Minnesota driver’s license and a debit card with Leddy’s name on it. There were also images posted of a woman with Leddy with derogatory words Photoshopped over it. Images of that woman, who is not dating Leddy, were used for the avatar for the @NoorsSlut Twitter and Instagram account.

Hey @NoorsSlut, I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money, but what I do have is very particular set of skills. Skills that I have acquired over 2 years of blogging. Skills that make me a nuisance for people like you. If you stop harassing Leddy now, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, but probably not for longer than 10 minutes because I have already kind of lost interest in this story and I don’t really enjoy confrontation. But you should stop harassing people because I like to jokingly stalk Ben Smith and stuff like this takes some of the fun out of it. I don’t want to be lumped in with psychos just because I make emotional tribute videos to a former Blackhawks 4th liner/PK specialist/Perfect human.

PS: This is a very serious situation and I don’t want to make light of it with a cheap joke, but if I were starting a list of suspects I would look for people who might have an axe to grind with Sydney…Nate. It was Nate.
