Spiderman Breaks Box-Office Records On This Day

May 5, 2002 - Spider-Man staring Tobey McGuire, Willem Defoe, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco becomes the first movie to earn $100 million opening weekend.

The previous box-office weekend record was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at $32.3. Harry Potter took 5 DAYS to reach $100 million.

Historically super hero movies do well, but we can't not say that the movie's record breaking success didn't come solely from the grammy nominated song Hero by Nickleback which played during the end credits and had this sweet music video ...

Everyone at least knows what the lead singer of Nickleback somewhat looks like, but am I an idiot for not knowing who the hell this guy is? Is he part of Nickleback?

Is he trying to dress up like a Spider-Man villain? Forget Jared Leto, I want this guy as Morbius and maybe just every villain from here on out.
