The Pentagon Has Formally Released the USS Nimitz UFO Footage
CBS News - The Pentagon on Monday formally released three unclassified videos taken by Navy pilots that have circulated for years showing interactions with "unidentified aerial phenomena."
One of the videos shows an incident from 2004, and the other two were recorded in January 2015, according to Sue Gough, a Defense Department spokeswoman. The videos became public after unauthorized leaks in 2007 and 2017, and the Navy previously verified their authenticity.
"After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena," Gough said.
The 2004 incident occurred about 100 miles out in the Pacific, according to The New York Times, which first reported on the video in 2017. Two fighter pilots on a routine training mission were dispatched to investigate unidentified aircraft that a Navy cruiser had been tracking for weeks.
The Navy pilots found an oblong object about 40 feet long hovering about 50 feet above the water, and it began a rapid ascent as the pilots approached before quickly flying away. "It accelerated like nothing I've ever seen," one of the pilots told The Times. ...
The two other videos of incidents in 2015 include footage of objects moving rapidly through the air. In one, an object is seen racing through the sky and begins rotating in midair.

With any other UFO news, I'd probably be addressing the skeptics. Those Luddites who still remain convinced every sighting is either a fake, someone trying to get attention, a weather balloon or swamp gas. But with a report of this magnitude, their ship has long since sailed. Talking to them is like arguing with the elders in some ancient tribe that the Earth goes around the sun and they don't have to throw virgins into a volcano so that the Night Wolf won't swallow the Moon Goddess and they'll have a corn crop next harvest. You can't get anywhere with them until you convince them everything they believe is wrong.
Instead, I'll talk to the believers. The truly informed. Enlightened people who've done the research. Who know that other governments all over the world have acknowledged the sightings, confirmed the data and come clean about the existence of these craft. Countries from Europe to South America, Asia to pre-revolution Iran when the government was friendly with the US and reported their pilots' encounters with UAPs.
People who are well read on the subject know what this means. That the last great impediment to the truth about this has been the US Department of Defense. As long as the Pentagon is keeping key evidence classified, we'll never know the full extent of what we know. And what we don't. And this is their acknowledgement that their best and brightest military pilots - men and women both put behind the controls of $70 million aircraft, Top Guns some of them, who fought the air battles over Iraq and Afghanistan, have video and radar data proving they tracked craft doing things far beyond our technology.
Their pilots and ships' commanders have acknowledged it. And now, finally, at long last, the DoD is giving up on trying to cover it up any more. And sooner rather than later, we're going to be talking about the deniers like we do the Flat Earthers. I just hope whoever is visiting us announces their presence and gives us the means to bring live sports back.
