The other day I posted a feel-good video of a kid trying queso for the first time and it felt great spreading joy at a time like this. Videos like the queso one and the video above are a good reminder that not everything is shit. It's true that most things are shit right now, but not everything. It's kinda hilarious to think about how dogs have no idea what's going on right now. Sure they might notice that their owners are home more frequently than normal but do they even notice that? Hard to tell what dogs know and don't know from one second to the next.
It's similar to dogs in movies not knowing they're in a movie. I tweeted about that a couple years ago and it honestly still blows my mind when I think about it
Every dog that has ever been in a movie was completely oblivious to what was going on. For instance, the dog in I Am Legend (RIP, sorry for the spoiler) just thought it was living in a post-apocalyptic world with Will Smith. Which is similar to what's going on right now. Dogs are living through a global pandemic and have no idea. Pretty wild when you think about it. Or not, up to you really.
Anyway. Take a deep breath, watch that video 75 times like I did, and exhale. One of the cutest fucking things I've ever seen. That dog Army crawled all the way up to its owner and did a sneak attack with kisses. Things will get better eventually. And if they don't, then the world will end and and it won't matter. Feel good Thursday!
