Tell you what, between this little situation and the tip I’m starting to think this Hernandez guy is actually a pretty bad dude. I mean two of the most insufferable people on earth are bad tippers and people who make a big deal out of the bill. Whether it be the guy who busts out his accounting visor to find out exactly how much he owes, or the guy who insists on using cash even though everyone else is using card and can’t give him change, or the guy who shoots you in the face because you refuse to split the bill two ways when there are 4 people. There’s just no need to make it difficult. How many people are there? Then that’s how many cards go down. Don’t care who got what, if there are 4 people then you throw 4 cards. Waitress shouldn’t even have to put the bill down, just hand her the cards and be done with it. It’s so fucking easy and if you’re one of those people who make it a whole ordeal then you’re lucky someone didn’t shoot you in the face then dump you in an industrial park first.
