Madison Bumgarner (And I Guess The Giants) Win The World Series

Guess this is a thing now. Every 2 years the San Francisco Giants will win the World Series. 2010, ’12, and this year. Feel bad for the Royals, they were definitely the sweetheart story of the playoffs but Madison Bumgarner is just too good. Absolute hoss. 2 days rest? Who cares. Just calmly walks in out of the bullpen and mows the entire Royals lineup down. Haven’t seen someone so utterly dominant in the playoffs since Curt Schilling in ’01 with the Diamondbacks. Congrats Giants fans, next year it’s the Cubs (a boy can dream).

Wish they had sent Gordon on that error. No one else could touch Bumgarner. Send him and make someone other than Bumgarner make a play. That one will haunt Royals fans forever. He’s probably out by a good amount but a fuck up from a fielder was way more likely than a fuck up from Bumgarner, rather die that way than a 10 foot pop up.

Harold Reynolds still thinks Bumgarner threw too many pitches tonight. Never seen someone talk about a pitch count in a Game 7 more than he did tonight.
