The Foot Fist Way Is An Underrated Comedy You Can Stream Right Now

THE FOOT FIST WAY CAN BE FOUND ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

Everyone is stuck inside needing something to watch and, more importantly, something to laugh at. Well, I have a movie that might satisfy those desires for you tonight: Danny McBride's 'The Foot Fist Way'.

For those who are unaware of the movie, this was the first movie produced by Gary Sanchez Productions, the production company started by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Following 'The Foot Fist Way', they also dropped 'Step Brothers', 'The Other Guys' and 'Eastbound & Down'. That's a pretty good run in the late-2000s I'd say. It was also Danny McBride's first role of note, his awesome career started with this low-budget martial arts comedy.

When I say low-budget, I mean low-budget. This shit only cost $79,000 to make and I am fairly sure they shot the entire movie in about a week.

It's a dark comedy, but what isn't when it comes to things with McBride as the lead character ('Eastbound & Down', 'Vice Principals', 'The Righteous Gemstones')? Will you find this to be the best comedy you've ever seen? I doubt it, but my point here is that this is underrated. It has gained popularity over the years but it is still not well known enough at this point.

I remember renting this movie my senior year of high school in 2008 from Blockbuster (I know, Blockbuster) expecting it to be a pile of trash. To this day, this scene is one of the hardest moments of laughter I have ever had in my life...

(AVOID WATCHING IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN IT AND DON'T WANT THE MOVIE SPOILED)

Fast forward over ten years later and I still laugh just as hard this movie.

If you need something funny tonight and you've never seen 'The Foot Fist Way', head over to Amazon Prime. I think most of you won't regret the decision.

Everyone needs a laugh right now. We are stuck inside losing our marbles. Give 'The Foot Fist Way' a chance tonight. To quote 'Eastbound & Down'…
