What a game. The Rangers got off to another good start, but this is an LA Kings sweep if not for an unreal second half out of King Henrik (and a friendly goal line). After his squad gave him a 2-1 lead heading into the third, they left him by himself to show the world why he’s one of the best goalies in recent history – and he did just that. A 15-1 shots advantage over the final 20 wasn’t enough to get LA the equalizer in MSG. Tonight was proof that the Blueshirts can take the Kings best shot and still steal a W.

It starts with one. NY finally remembers what it feels like to have a little luck. They remember what it’s like to win, and Hank remembers what it’s like to be able to take over a game & be able to give his Rangers a puncher’s chance. If he can go back to Cali and put on a repeat performance, things could get real interesting come Monday if the series comes back east. One game at a time though – next one’s on Friday the 13th. Sounds like a great night for a guy in a goalie mask…
