College Football Peaked During The Oakley Visors Era
It was fun to watch the Texas-USC national championship game last night. I was very young when this game first happened and remember being forced to bed in the 1st quarter as I had elementary school the next day. I had never watched the game in full and completely forgot Texas was down 12 points with under 5 minutes to play.
One of my biggest takeaways from the 2006 BCS national championship was a reminder of the glory days of college football: The Colored Oakley Visor days.
(Aside: we always talk about Reggie Bush...LenDale White was a BAD man at USC. Him and Reggie combined for 98 TDs in their careers at USC. Disgusting stat)
Willis McGahee was a BAD man with his visor:
Nobody did it better than The U:
Adrian Peterson:
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
