Mountain Dew Flavored Doritos Are Real, They Actually Exist

This is not a prank, Doritos really went and did this.

Doritos and Mountain Dew have been popular snack combination for quite some time, but have you ever thought what it would be like to bring the two together? Apparently, that was weighing on the Doritos team’s minds, because now Doritos Mountain Dew chips are here to blow your taste buds away.

The limited-edition Doritos take on the flavor of Mountain Dew. The typical soda has a citrus flavor, which sounds, uh, interesting in a crunchy chip, but that wouldn’t stop us from trying it given the chance. However, it might be a tad difficult to do that since they’re not available in U.S. (yet, hopefully). (via Yahoo!)

Okay, so they're real and not in the United States yet. But how do they taste?

According to Instagram account @nickvavitiss, who tried the new chips, they taste like “citrus lime detergent.” A little harsh, but that could be extremely accurate for all we know. (via Yahoo!)

Not shocked! Mountain Dew and PepsiCo even tried to test a Doritos flavored version of soda years ago around college campuses…

Dewitos was a Mountain Dew flavor that was tested in late 2014 on select colleges and universities campuses across the United States. It was claimed to be a Nacho Cheese Doritos flavor. It was later discontinued from testing, possibly due to the reactions of Reddit users and other social media sites, which may have deterred PepsiCo from releasing Dewitos. (via Mountain Dew Wikia)

Some people who tried it claimed it was just Mountain Dew LiveWire with an aftertaste of Doritos. Sounds rough! Plus, we all know Code Red was the coolest limited edition Mountain Dew flavor…

Mountain Dew was smart enough to not release the drink, but I think the lemon-lime twist to the Mountain Dew Dorito may actually oddly work for some people? This also sounds like the most efficient snack imaginable for someone like this fella…

But for the ultimate gaming focus and skillset, I am starting to think Dewitos would be the more ideal product for maximum success. It's essentially the "Mike's Secret Stuff" of the gaming community…

I've been pretty piss-poor in Warzone lately on Call of Duty (I am a gunfight man and trash in the battle royale), maybe my potential can be unlocked with one of these products.

Regardless, would you try the Mountain Dew flavored Doritos? I know some people will be fucking pumped…
