Remember How Awesome Lob City Was?

There I was, minding my own business when the following video came across my timeline

and instantly I found myself going down a Lob City rabbit hole. Why not? I get it, ultimately that experiment failed since the Clippers never made it past the second round and all the players hate each other nowadays, but there is no denying that the 2011-17 Clippers were fun as hell to watch. They were basically a lock for 50 wins every year, and I'm sorry but there are few players more exciting than a fully healthy young Blake Griffin. Some of the shit he did in games didn't make sense and it still is hard to believe this team never even made a Conference Finals! Injuries were a motherfucker for that era of Clippers basketball, especially once Doc arrived in 2013 but there is no denying they were about as must watch as it gets. Outrageous lobs left and right to Blake and DeAndre Jordan, CP3 doing CP3 things, this was the foundation of the Clippers team you see today.

So I figured why not share with you the same rabbit hole I've been going down today because while they won't be remembered as one of the great dynasties in NBA history, Lob City will always be one of the more fun eras for me and it's pretty obvious why

Not every team can win the NBA title. In fact most don't. But that doesn't mean there haven't been some pretty badass teams throughout the years and I would stack Lob City up against any of the other elite teams that never won a title. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that if Paul doesn't pull his hammy/break his hand and Blake doesn't fuck up his toe in 2017 they very well might have snagged that elusive ring. Even without it though, Lob City was highly entertaining and a fun era to rewatch (as long as you're not a Clippers fan).
