If John Calipari Warns The Knicks Not To Give Up On Kevin Knox, The Knicks Better Listen Because Kevin Knox Is Going To Be A Star

[Source] - “No one is going to work harder,’’ Calipari said in a conference call announcing he was donating meals to local families amid the coronavirus outbreak. “He’s one of the great kids of all time, from a great family. It’s going to take time. What you don’t want to do — and teams have done this in that league — they give up on a young, young player too soon. And now all of a sudden, the guy comes back and they look and the whole thing in New York will be, ‘Well, what if we had him? We gave him away. We should have held on longer. Why did we do that?'”

Listen if John Calipari says you have to wait and give Kevin Knox time, you better do that. I can't think of one time Cal was wrong about one of his guys. He's batting 100%. So any Knicks fan screaming to move on from Kevin Knox, it's time to listen to the guy who knows him better than anyone. Plus, Leon Rose is now in the front office and boys with Cal. Cal wouldn't lie to one of his buddies.

Clem, I know you're reading this so this is for you. Look at two of your Knox blogs:

You can't be flip flopping like that anymore. Not after you listen to Coach Cal. Trust me, Kentucky fans went through the same thing with Knox. He was supposed to be the guy right away when he started at Kentucky. But it really wasn't until he absolutely destroyed West Virginia (34 points) that he broke out and became the guy. That game was awesome by the way.

Us Knicks fans just need Cal to put some brain cells into some of the front office here. We need not cool Mike Miller to keep running him off of baseline screens. Let him get some run. He's young! He's still just 20 years old. Like Cal said, don't give up on him, something the Knicks do all the damn time. Remember Trevor Ariza?

Love that Coach Cal's guy Leon Rose is a Knick now. Need Cal on the Knicks side while he still coaches Kentucky. That's a win-win.
