The WEEI And Sports Hub Morning Shows Are In Literally The Stupidest "Fight" Of All Time

I’m not a big sports talk guy, not in the mornings at least. Just too early to be getting angry and all that nonsense. I need a relaxing drive into the office or I’ll come in and be mean to Hank for no reason. But last night I was listening to the Bs so when I got in the car today Sports Hub was still on. What I then heard was one of the most preposterous and ridiculous outbursts ever.

Now I’m not totally aware of the situation, but from what I gather this is the deal: Rich, from Toucher and Rich, has a wife and she has cancer. Kirk Minihane, from Dennis and Callahan, did not call to say he’s sorry that Rich’s wife has cancer. Toucher, also from Toucher and Rich (believe it or not), is NOT happy with Minihane for not calling and saying I’m sorry your wife has cancer.

OUT-RAGEOUS. Why would someone you’ve never met call you and apologize for someone in your family getting cancer? WHY?! Do you know how fucking high your phone bill would be if you had to field calls from everyone in the world every time someone a loved one got sick? You’ve got enough stress on your hands, don’t need a Verizon bill through the fucking roof too. It’s pretty implied that everyone feels bad for you. Cancer sucks, there isn’t a person it hasn’t affected. I don’t even listen to the show and I feel bad for the family. But just because someone works in the same industry doesn’t mean they have to call you and offer up some fake ass sympathy. Not if they’ve never met or spoken to you. Why does Toucher even fucking care who calls Rich about Rich’s wife? Rich’s a big boy, isn’t he? If he’s upset for some nonsensical reason I’m sure he can go up to the big bully on the playground and speak his own mind. It looks pathetic. I don’t understand any of it for one second. Yes, Toucher, everyone is sorry your partner’s wife has cancer. No, everyone is not going to call them. If that’s a problem then someone is a teeny bit oversensitive.

But I guess I will give T&R credit for drumming up fake controversy. People are talking about them, right? They slipped to second in the summer ratings so at least they’re smart enough to start firing shots, as bullshit as they may be, at the other guys and get their name in the lights again. Better than D&C who just took it on the chin for like three years until Minihane came on.
