Shawn Thornton's First Night Back At TD Lands Him A Well Deserved Tribute

One of everyone’s favorite Bruin players back in town tonight. Say what you will about his purely hockey playing ability, his presence in the locker room and on the bench was always second to none. More heart and determination in his chin than most people have in their entire body. I’ll always remember a call on SportsHub maybe two years ago where the caller asked if it’s time to send Thornton down to Providence to bring up a scorer and everyone immediately dismissed it. That’s how much he always meant to the team: could barely skate and was well worth the roster spot. So welcome back for the night, Shawn. Great Bruin and by all accounts a great guy.

Now cue the dangles we all remember him for!
