Not to step on Chapsy Boy's "Liquor Cabinet Music" series but if you're looking for a new sound to get you through these next few weeks of quarantine, Zach Bryan is my best recommendation right now for the perfect night cap. Lyrically I'd put him up against anybody right now. It's not so often that we get new music that actual tells a story with emotion and passion and not just...well... whatever the hell songs on the radio are about these days. The closest comparison here is obviously Childers but there are still plenty of differences. Like would I throw a ton of Zach Bryan songs on a playlist filled with a bunch of Childers songs? For sure. But I wouldn't say they're the same thing. I don't know. I'm not a music blogger so I don't know how to explain it with my words, all I know is that it's the perfect music to get on the couch, kick your feet up, pour yourself a glass of bourbon (I'm currently on a Wild Turkey Longbranch kick just because I'm a sucker for McConaughey), and enjoy.
