The Official Office Madness Bracket

Finally. This is the content I'm here for during Quarantine 2K20.

Trying to pick a Final Four out of this bracket is a virtually impossible task, because every one of these episodes has at least one thing in it that makes it memorable and unique. Every single episode of The Office is a treasure. That said, I'm going to give you my picks to make it through Office Madness.

In the West Region (top left), we have in my estimation the strongest 1-seed and tournament favorite in Dinner Party. If there's a better 30 minutes of comedy television in the last 20 years, I'd like to see it — never forget Serenity by Jan. Niagra makes a very strong push in the Elite Eight, but ultimately comes up short as Dinner Party makes its way through the West Region and into the Final Four.

In the South Region (top right), I have the 1-seed The Alliance being upset in the first round by 8-seed Product Recall. But the biggest matchup in this region comes in the Sweet Sixteen between The Dundies and The Job, the two strongest candidates to make it out of this quadrant. Ultimately, it's The Job and its iconic final scene of Season 3 which sends it through to become our second team in the Final Four.

The Midwest Region (bottom left) has the strongest first round matchups, pitting Christmas Party against Benihana Christmas and The Injury against Fun Run, which was snubbed of the 1-seed in this region in favor of Drug Testing.

How any episode other than Fun Run could be considered the favorite to make it out of this region is beyond me, and I do, in fact, have Michael Scott’s Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race For The Cure making it through to the Final Four out of the Midwest.

And finally in the East Region (bottom right), we have what is the best quad top-to-bottom in the tournament. Safety Training, Stress Relief, Diversity Day and The Finale all fighting for one spot in the Final Four. I have The Finale upsetting Safety Training in the Sweet Sixteen and then taking down Stress Relief in the closest matchup of the entire tournament to win the East Region.

It's the best television finale of this century. It was done perfectly and deserves recognition for that.

So our Final Four matchups are Dinner Party vs. Fun Run and The Job vs. The Finale.

Both of these are so tough. I absolutely love Fun Run, but as I said at the top, if there's a better 30 minutes of comedy than Dinner Party in recent memory, I have yet to see it. So while Michael did his best to right his wrong and raise some money after hitting Meredith with his car — on company property with company property, so double jeopardy — it's just not enough to unseat Dinner Party, which makes its way to the title game.

But which sentimental episode will await it? It basically comes down to the nearly perfect execution of The Finale against one of the most iconic moments of the show which set it up for success for years to come in The Job. At the end of the day, I think I have to go with The Job. "Ok then, it's a date," will get me every single time and it deserves a spot in the championship.

So Dinner Party vs. The Job.

At the end of the day, The Office was a comedy, and as I have said, there simply is no better comedy than Dinner Party. It's perfectly done awkward hilarity. And for that reason, it is my Office Madness champion.
