Goodnight, sweet bearded prince. Damn you, reality. Damn you straight to hell. That was certainly unexpected Malcolm Jenkins (2x Super Bowl winner) was the consensus leader in the locker room and of this team. Everyone looked up to him, and not only that, he's still pretty dog gone good on the field. Personally, I'd probably give him the money he wants over like 2 years rather than give the cash to all the DL in the NFL, but I also have no idea what I'm doing at life in general, let alone the NFL. This isn't quite shades of Brian Dawkins because there was a bit more mutual respect involved, but it almost stings just as bad. Especially when Jenkins signs with a Super Bowl contender and slays.
As a replacement, the Birds are resigning Jalen Mills to a one-year shanty and putting him back at the position where he played in college. As long as he can pivot to safety better than he can on the sticks of warfare, we should be just fine.
