Oh come on. What the fuck is this? I don't need to be teased anymore than we already were with that first half of St. John's/Creighton. I know coronavirus is serious and shit, but I'm a college hoops fan and blogger. I live for this month. I've accepted as well as I can that this season is just done. I've accepted that there's no more college hoops until November. 

As for releasing the bracket? I get that this is mostly for coaches, who could get bonuses for making a NCAA Tournament. That's money and someone's livelihood. I get that. But this is also like getting a 2am you up text from your ex, fucking them one more time knowing it's going nowhere and getting crushed again. 

For the 16-team tournament? That would have been AWESOME. Imagine the outrage from fans who were teams 17-20 or whatever. Assuming this was all at-large. You're looking at what? According to Bracketmatrix it would have been Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga, Dayton, San Diego State, FSU, Nova, Creighton, Maryland, Michigan State, Seton Hall, Kentucky, Oregon, Louisville and Wisconsin. That would have been an AWESOME Sweet 16. 

I would have loved for this to happen. I get that it couldn't with everything going on now. But imagine if we could get these 16 teams and players to agree to play come May. Ratings through the goddamn roof. Kansas would be the favorite, but that would be so wide open. Just 4 or 5 days of awesome hoops. You play the Sweet 16 on Thursday, Elite 8 on Friday, Final Four on Sunday and Title game on Monday. 

Goddamnit I miss college hoops.
