It Looks Like The NHL Is Suspending The Season

Big sigh. Everyone with me now. Sighhhhhhhhh. We knew it was going to happen, but there was that little bit of hope we'd still be able to watch some hockey tonight. But alas, it looks like the NHL is following the lead of every other league and packing it in for a bit. Sighhhhhhhhh.

There's nothing else you can do. Especially with The Utah Jazz all testing positive, the NHL in good conscious cannot put all the players in a locker room together, and all the fans in an arena together. Suspending the season is the right thing to do, unfortunately.

Who knows how long they'll be out for, or if they'll play out the remaining schedule before the playoffs. It doesn't seem crazy that if they season is halted for 2 weeks they can push it back and play it out. I don't know if 2 weeks is optimistic or if we're looking at a month of cancelations, I just have no idea what to expect.

Not to make it about Ovi but if the season is shortened they better give him a few more goals in good faith. If coronavirus hurts his chance at Gretzy's record I'll never forgive it.
