Quinnen Williams Arrested After Attempting To Board A Plane With An Unregistered Glock 19

The Jets were having a relatively quiet offseason. There were rumors of potentially getting rid of Le'Veon Bell, but those have since been squashed. The team that finished the season 6-2 were looking forward to a strong free agency with a great draft pick at #11.....UNTIL Quinnen Williams came in hot with this:

SOURCE-New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was arrested Thursday night for criminal possession of a weapon while attempting to board a flight at LaGuardia Airport, according to police.

Williams, 22, was carrying a gun with an Alabama permit, New York/New Jersey Port Authority Police said in a statement to ESPN. The former Alabama star grew up in Birmingham, Alabama.

According to police, the weapon was a Glock 19 handgun.

Quinnen Williams...I love ya. I was your biggest fan at Alabama and was so excited to see you become a Jet. The first season? It was rough, but whatever. This? This is bad. You have to be smarter than bringing a Glock 19 on board with you on a plane. You just HAVE to be smarter than that.

But...hey...at least it was registered in the state of Alabama? Maybe that will help him avoid jail time.
