Mike Tyson Fighting Back Tears On His Podcast While Talking About 'The Monster He Used To Be' Is A Must Watch For Any Boxing Fan

"Sometimes I feel like a bitch because I don't want that person to come out ... 'cause if he comes out hell is coming with him.

"I know the art of fighting, I know the art of war. That’s all I’ve ever studied. That’s why I’m so feared, that’s why they feared me when I was in the ring. I was an annihilator, that’s all I was born for."

"Now those days are gone. It’s empty, I’m nothing."

"I’m working on being the art of humbleness. That’s the reason I’m crying, 'cause I’m not that person no more, and I miss him...And, it’s not funny at all. It's not cool like I’m a tough guy. It’s just that I hate that guy, I’m scared of him."

"That guy's kind of dead now...but that wasn't easy. That guy didn't want to leave. He wasn't leaving easy. He fought, screamed and cried and scratched all the way until he died, you know?"

Yikes. Mike has said stuff like that before, but to see him get so emotional is tough. Again, I know I'm not breaking news here, but the man is clearly tortured. If you had said ten, fifteen, twenty years ago that the scariest man in the world would be on a podcast balling his eyes out, I would've called you crazy. Anyone would have.

Also, I love Mike to death but there's no way he studied all those warriors. Heard of them- yes. Actually studied them- not a chance. Everything else he said I believe 1000%. Selfishly I'd like to see the old Mike come back, even if it's for a split second like we say the other day....

...but I know it'd be his demise.

If you haven't already listened to his podcast be sure to check it out. He may not be as articulate as other hosts but he wears his heart on his sleeve. Which always makes for a great show. Now here's a video of the greatest boxing entrance of all time. No theatrics. No costumes. Just DMX, Mike, and a thousands guys in white suits. Enjoy.
