Dana White Reportedly Kicked Out Of the Palms For Winning Too Much Money

Las Vegas Review - UFC president Dana White confirmed Sunday that the Palms gave him his “walking papers” for the second time in two years because of his winning ways. White said he was coaxed back March 1, ending a 22-month boycott by White and Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters. “A lot of people are going to think I’m a card counter after that Ben Affleck thing at the Hard Rock. I’m the farthest thing from card counter.” The Palms showed a sense of humor after the latest falling out. White said he heard through the grapevine that the Palms was planning to give him a trophy that said “congrats you kicked our ass and made us tap out.” There have been rumors that he tipped the dealers almost $200,000 during his three-month hot streak. He declined to comment on that but confirmed that Mandalay Bay had invited him to play there.“Casinos don’t want to gamble anymore,” White said. “They’re all owned by hedge funds and corporations. They want to stack the odds so much against you that won’t play. Realistically, there’s only one place to play left in town. That’s Caesars. They will let you play what you want to play. No messing around with limits.” He doesn’t care that critics will say his gambling is out of control. “Has it affected my personal life? Has it affected my professional life? Have I lost all my money? There’s nothing negative about what I’ve been doing lately.”

First things first. I feel like I say this everytime I read an article from the Las Vegas Review, but the fact that this writer has an eyepatch is the best most Vegas thing of all time.

Anyway onto this story. I can’t decide whether I like Dana White or I hate him. Obviously he’s brilliant, but he also strikes me as a liar and the most arrogant guy on the planet. I feel like it could be raining shit outside and he’d tell you it was bright and sunny. Listen the bottomline is that casinos don’t tell you to stop gambling if you go on a hot streak playing Blackjack. They lure you back to the casino till you give it all back. Nobody wins long term at Blackjack unless you’re counting cards or cheating. That’s just science. You can’t be good at Blackjack. You just can’t. You play it perfect and the game still favors the house. So there is just no way he’s getting kicked out of the Palms because he won too much if he’s playing straight up. These are the types of guys casinos die for. These are the whales they spend millions of dollars attracting. So again I don’t know what’s going on here but if you don’t count cards a casino will never ask you not to come back period.
