Cup Check!

A lot of players were making some great first impressions with their new teams after the Trade Deadline last night. JG Pageau had a goal in his Islanders debut and also had a fight as he came in to help Michael Dal Colle after getting bundled by Jacob Trouba. Sonny Milano had 2 goals, including the OT game winner, in his debut with the Anaheim Ducks. In that same game, Andreas Athanasiou and Tyler Ennis each had goals in their debut with the Oilers. Lotta guys getting themselves on the scoresheet and getting on the good side of the locker room right away.

Then we go to Zach Bogosian who...well...well he might want to take a mulligan on his first performance with the Tampa Bay Lightning, or at least take a mulligan with Brayden Point after he drilled him in the sack with a clapper from the point.

No better way to fit in with your new team than by giving one of the boys an impromptu vasectomy. Yeesh. Poor guy looks like he was contemplating retirement there for a minute.

And that, my friends, is why you should never park yourself in front of the net if you're not wearing a cup. I totally get not wanting to wear a cup. They're not comfortable, they get in the way, and it's just an extra piece of equipment that makes getting dressed harder. But if you're going to make the conscious decision to not wear one, you either need to be a perimeter guy or you need to make sure you're protecting yourself with your glove. Tough location for that Bogosian shot but Brayden Point ain't fully innocent himself on this one. Know your body.
