No real surprise to anybody that's been following the Bears into this offseason. Both guys were solid Bears, but when you go 8-8 and are team who's cap hit is in the top 5 in the NFL changes have to be made. Gabriel became expendable because we ended up having a surplus of good WR's through the draft. Prince is about to be 31 this Summer, has had injury issues, and a cap hit that just became too much to bear.
Kind of sets the Bears up well to grab a corner in the second round now too. It also frees up roughly $13.5M for 2020. Thanks to Taylor & Prince for the good times. 2018-2019 was a blast and those guys were a big part of it. Best of luck to wherever they go.
