HuffPostA Wisconsin mom who allegedly grabbed a boy after he threw a dodgeball in her face has been hit with criminal charges. Dominique Jude, 27, says the incident was all a misunderstanding. But prosecutors don’t see it that way. Jude is accused of attacking a 12-year-old boy who pegged her and her son in their faces during a game of trampoline dodgeball at Sky Zone indoor trampoline park in Waukesha. The incident took place during a birthday party over the winter. In a criminal complaint, Jude is said to have grabbed the boy and yelled profanities at him, then encouraged other kids in the game to throw balls at his face. In an off-camera interview with WISN, Jude admitted to grabbing the boy, but said she only asked him how he’d like it if he were hit in the face with a dodgeball. Jude faces criminal disorderly conduct charges, and could spend up to 90 days in jail if she is convicted. The woman told WISN that the incident has been blown out of proportion and that staff failed to intervene when she was hurt. She said she was just stunned and being overprotective of her son.

Perfect “don’t hate the playa, hate the game” situation. If she didn’t want a face full of rubber, she should’ve never stepped into the thunderdome. Can’t get upset when Tommy throws a heater right into your grillpiece. That’s pretty much rule number one. The concept of the game is simple. It’s called dodgeball, and idea of the game is you have to dodge the ball. If you hadn’t skipped that week of gym class maybe you would’ve mastered that Dip maneuver. And don’t give me that “no hitting in the face” bullshit rule people have been throwing around recently. That rule is flat out disrespectful to the game. This isn’t Canada. Dodgeball is a game of violence, exclusion, and degradation. And there’s no better way to degrade somebody than a fastball to their face. So really, you should be thanking this kid for putting on a free clinic. Go take your rightful place on the sideline and maybe you’ll learn a thing or two.

PS- I’ve never played trampoline dodgeball, but I think I need to drop everything I’m doing and go play right now
