Braves Part Ways With Critical Team Member During Spring Training

WHAT THE HELL? NO.

Just when it looks like we're settling into Spring Training and ready to get the season going and win a third straight division title, there's another kick to the coin pouch. This feels worse than losing Josh Donaldson.

Kelsey Wingert was the best part of the Braves' broadcast team by far. I have no idea what led to this decision, but it really sucks. Watching games this year is just not going to be as fun. I don't recall seeing a team making a move relating to a broadcaster that was as universally decried as this has been by braves fans today.

I don't really know what else to say other than this really sucks. On the surface it may seem sort of dumb to care about something like this, but when you have a fanbase as passionate at the Braves' which watches these people 162 times per year, you feel like you know them. So for one of everyone's favorites to get axed like this really affects people. I can't really think of any reasoning for the Braves to do this other than again being really cheap, which given the fact her contract is up next month, seems like a logical explanation.

I hope Kelsey gets another job very soon because she's one of the best in the business. I know everyone in Braves Country wishes her the absolute best.
