There really was no one better than Letterman. He was always so in control of his own show. If he thought you were a bullshitter or didn't like what you were saying he would expose you. He'd hand you the shovel and watch you dig your own grave. The guest was always the joke and they never knew it. The only people who did were the audience and him.
