Chaos Is A Ladder: Kyrie Irving Has Been Elected Vice President Of The NBA Players Association

I am sure there are a fair share of people who are rolling their eyes at this decision, namely people from the New England area. But I love this move for the Players Association because you always need to have a wildcard in the room during negotiations and hiring a flat Earther as a VP fills that role to a tee.

The NBPA already has Chris Paul as President and based on everything we've ever seen from him, he will take care of all the serious business in only the most serious Chris Paul way possible. But if I am Adam Silver and the owners, I have no clue what Kyrie Irving is going to bring to the bargaining table and that scares the shit out of me. At any given moment there is a chance Kyrie will go into a 5 minute soliloquy about what leadership means to him, question whether any of us really exist or if we are just living in the dream of a celestial energy giant from another galaxy that is about to wake up, or bring up the always fascinating topic of government to the NBA intern that asks how he likes his coffee before they discuss the next CBA.

Does that sound like someone that a group of owners can get a read on during negotiations? Fuck no. As a wise man once said, "Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try it again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb. They refuse. They cling to the realm or the gods or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is". With Kyrie in the mix, the NBPA can now climb that ladder to the highest rung...or Kyrie can burn that ladder to ash with everyone in the NBA standing on it.
