Tim Duncan Would Drive Kevin Garnett Crazy With His 'No Gangsta Shit' Trash Talking - Instead Saying Things Like 'Nice Try'
Yep. This is peak Tim Duncan. Not only that it's peak Kevin Garnett AND Tim Duncan. These two dudes had a rivalry that doesn't get talked about enough because it was overshadowed by Kobe/Shaq and everything else that went on along with the fact that Tim Duncan is a quiet dude that played for the Spurs. Of course this guy didn't say 'gangsta shit' as he trash talked.
Best part of this is Garnett just openly admitting how much it pissed him off. There are few that are as crazy as KG. Knowing a guy that was the first true robot (not convinced he didn't teach Kawhi to be a robot) was just dropping phrases like 'good try' or 'almost' is A+ stuff. You know Duncan knew this too. He was too good, too smart not to know how to get under Kevin Garnett's skin and just keep kicking his ass.
I also love how KG says you would never see Duncan talk. Why? Because his reaction after foul calls was always A+:

Crazy eyes like you read about. But it always told the story of Duncan. The dude didn't need to talk. However, the image of Duncan saying 'ohh got you' before this move is why he's one of the GOATs.
Timmy D is just the best man. I loved watching him. The dude just won titles, kicked Kevin Garnett's ass and turned the San Antonio Spurs into one of the best franchises we've seen of this era. And now one of the greatest shit talkers ever.
