See Ya Later Josh Norman

Free at last, free at last! 

Nobody, and I’m including Albert Haynesworth, has been more of a debacle in DC than Josh Norman. Maybe that’s my recency bias showing, but I have never had such disdain for a player by the end of his run with the Skins quite like my disdain for Joshua Norman. And it’s not because he was a bad corner. Players skills drop off all the time, that’s normal. It’s because of everything else. The way he handled himself, talked, acted, fame whored, and yeah I guess celebrating incompletions despite the fact he was dusted by 3 steps was pretty irritating too.

By the end of last season, Josh Norman didn't even touch the field. The Skins were literally, and I mean literally, signing people off the street on a Saturday and starting them ahead of Josh Norman on Sunday. His heart wasn't in it, and his skills were lagging further behind. 

Will Norman catch on somewhere else? Probably. Somewhere he can sit in zone and try to make a read on the ball. But he can't cover man to man anymore, that's for sure. And he won't play special teams, so he'll have to come at a cheap price. I doubt his NFL career is completely over, but I'm glad he's never going to be a Redskins ever again. Good riddance.
