I'm in love and I don't care who knows it. This is during the meeting on name, image and likeness - we're still waiting for more to come out of that and either myself, Jack or Keith will sum up if anything happens. But that's irrelevant to a degree in this post. This is about my person hero - West Virginia Senator Shelley Capito.
Let me preface this by saying I don't give a shit about politics. I care deeply about college hoops. I care about the convenience of watching a game. Sure, I'm talking strictly about myself but also for the fine folks of the Big 12. How dare they put all these great games on ESPN+ - as Shelley says, something that you have to pay for and have solid Internet access for - both a legit concern in West Virginia.
Dennis Dodd from CBS explains a bit why this game is on ESPN+ via my mentions:
It's a money grab, plain and simple. Instead of showcasing your best games for college hoops, we're dealing with the Big 12 trying to make money. So we have WVU/Kansas and WVU/Baylor this week and both are on this streaming service. That means instead of just being able to hop around and put that game on any of the TVs I have setup in my basement with the ease of just jumping from channel to channel that I know by heart, I have to set up one TV and just leave that game on. That's why we need someone like this WV Senator. To fight for us that are lazy.
I'm not a big fan of change when it comes to television and games. I'm a 70-year old man in that aspect. I've had the same TV service for the 11 years I've been out of college that I had growing up at my parents house. I know all the channels by heart. I know that Big Monday means now an ACC game at 7 and a Big 12 game at 9. I need everything to get back to that. I'm ready to vote Shelley Capito for President.
