Marcus Smart Is A Hero And Should Be Treated As Such

This team man, just when you thought it wasn't possible to love them any more than we already do, they have a game like today. Finally healthy for the first time in years, on the road against a team that had won 4 in a row and was 9-1 in their last 10, this was a big time win to kick off this grueling 8 game stretch

There are a lot of players to give credit to for the 7th win in a row and 10th in the last 11 games, but I have to give a special shoutout here to our captain. Marcus Smart willed this team to victory, whether it was his Grade A grifting

or his irrationally confident outside shooting in the fourth quarter

Smart brought it all, ultimately topped off with that play you saw at the top of this blog. The Celtics were doing EVERYTHING they could to blow this game. Their late game execution after Kemba made those threes was all time bad, but Smart would not allow this team to collapse. When asked about the play he gave the most Smart answer ever

That's the beauty of Smart. No fear. Doesn't matter if it's a 35 footer or a game saving steal from an All NBA First Team Defense defender. If Smart sees a play to be made, he's going to make it. Late in games in high pressure situations? Even better.

There's a reason Brad loves and trusts him. The Marcus Smart Experience is not for the faint of heart, but goddammit I wouldn't have it any other way

More tomorrow of course, but tonight we appreciate our heart and soul. Long live Marcus Smart.
