Shooters Are Coming: Sixers Acquire Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III

Fellas, we gotta Shams Bomb. In the wee hours of the morning, EB has completed a very good deal that help adds scoring and shooting to our bench. Plus, it seems that Brand has somehow gotten this deal done without giving up any of the few assets that we do have.

Getting some legitimate scoring options to come off the bench, while only giving up a handful of low value second round picks is huge. Burks is having a career year in Golden State putting up 16 points per game and 37% from three. Obviously his numbers are inflated due to the nature of the team he is playing on, but he has quietly been a decent scorer for most of his 9 year career. He's averaged at least 10 points per game 5 times and has averaged over 35% from three 7 times.

As for GRIII, this year he's averaging 12 points per game and 40% from three. He's been a three point specialist his entire career averaging over 37.5% from three 4 times in his 6 year career. Not to mention it's always nice to return a Process Sixer, post Process.

All in all good job EB. We got some guys who are not only capable of shooting the basketball, but also willing, which for us is hard to come by these days. It's going to be interesting to see the rotations going forward. Will we get some shooting lineups where we see Ben surrounded by Furkan, Burks, GRIII, and Tobias? There's been a lot of talk about a lack of spacing, and it seems we may have just gotten some. We still have a few more hours before the deadline. Let's see what else you got for us Elton.
