Anybody Who Thinks The Pats Are Broken Is A Fool Of the Highest Order
Unfortunately I’m starting to feel like this is a yearly blog now. Everytime the Pats lose the AFC title game or the superbowl all the wackos come out and say how Brady sucks now or the Pats can’t win the way they are constructed. That in hindsight we went as far as we could possibly go and can never expect to do any better. That we got to blow it up and start over. That we can’t win with the WR’s we have. That we have no pass rush. That the entire team is broken. It’s infuriating. Absolutly infuriating. Hey guess what everybody? When next season starts I fully expect the Patriots to win the superbowl? Why? Well for starters everybody was injured this season.. Like everybody.

These aren’t just good players. These are our best players. Pro Bowlers. Gronk is the best non QB player in football. Vince Wilfork is a HOF’r. Jerod Mayo is the captain of our defense. Aquib Talib is the glue that held the secondary together. All these guy didn’t play in the AFC title game. Yeah I know injuries and murder is part of football, but give me a break. No team in the league could overcome having 5 of their best players not play. Nobody. Yeah it sucks that the Patriots lost, but there is no fundamental flaw with this team. Nothing has to be fixed. Our entire team just can’t get injured and miss the playoffs.
The bottomline is this. In an era where parity is king and the NFL strives for equality the Pats have been to 5 superbowls in 13 years, 8 AFC title games and 11 division titles. We are a helmet catch and a dropped pass away from having 5 Lombardi Trophies. Before every season begins we know we have a 50% chance of being in the final game. If we don’t win it all than the entire season is viewed as a gigantic waste of time. We are left stunned and depressed and questioning the existence of god. Meanwhile other cities treat just making the playoffs like they won a world championship. Why am I saying all this? Because on days like today it’s easy to forget how lucky we are to be Pats fans. There has never been anything like this run in the NFL and there never will be again. You wonder why everybody hates the Pats? It’s because for the past decade we’ve ruled the NFL with an iron fist the likes of which this league has never seen before. Does it suck we lost? Of course it does. Would I trade places with any other fan base? Not in a billion years. Because when the season starts anew we know we already can pencil ourselves in for the AFC title game. Quite simply they hate us because they want to be us and who wouldn’t?
