Post - Masahiro Tanaka has left the Yankees and is flying back to New York for an MRI exam on his right arm, The Post has learned. Tanaka had his worst start as a major leaguer Tuesday night in Cleveland, allowing 10 hits and five runs over 6 2/3 innings in a 5-3 loss to the Indians. One of the concerns when Tanaka signed with the team was the added workload of pitching every fifth day, compared to throwing every seventh day in Japan.
I’m so incredibly scared right now I don’t even know what to say. This is clearly the worst possible thing that could happen in my life and I’m not dealing well. We all hoped that last night was just some fluke but this could be way worse. There’s a chance that this turns out to be nothing and it’s just precautionary and everyone will be fine (PLEASE GOD) or this is the end of the season and possibly the end of next season.
PS: If Kevin posts some dumb editors note making fun of this, I’ll tweet his cell number. This isn’t the time for fun and games Kevin, this is Tanaka Time.
KFC Editors Note: JJ, you crush your wife during sex and your heart sucks. Boom roasted.
UPDATE: Tanaka is going to the 15 day DL with elbow inflammation. This sucks but it could be a lot worse. We aren’t out of the shit yet but lets hope it only takes 2 weeks to get back to form.
