RIP Tony Gwynn

Died at the age of 54 from cancer. RIP to one of the greatest hitters, and seemingly one of the nicest guys, the game of baseball ever saw. Tony Gwynn played 20 seasons and only batted below .300 once. His rookie season. Career .338 hitter. And if I could go back in time and change one thing in sports, I would seriously consider going back to his ’94 season when he batted .394. Just give him a couple more base knocks. He deserved the SHIT out of that .400. And the Expos shot at a title. Baseball could have been very different if 1994 played out normally.

But rest in peace, Tony. I didn’t even know he was sick, to be honest. Great example of why you gotta stay away from that chewing tobacco.
