I Give TJ Houshmandzadeh Credit For Going On TV And Getting Everything Wrong In Only 10 Seconds

This came across my timeline this morning and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. How these guys get a sheet of the topics they are going to talk about, do zero prep, and then just spout out all wrong information as if they are Albert Einstein explaining physics. TJ Houshmandzadeh got quite literally everything you can get wrong in that 10 second clip, and there’s zero accountability, zero pushback, nothing. It’s actually hard to be that wrong about 2 things in 10 seconds, but he did it.

1) DJ Moore had a great season. With zero stability at QB, at 22 years old, the 2nd year WR played 15 games and had 1175 yards, good for 9th in the entire NFL. One could make the argument that DJ Moore is the most underrated WR in the entire league, and TJ is saying he did nothing all season? What???? Let’s say he played all 16 games and averaged the same amount of yards per game, that puts him at 1253 yards, which would be 4th in the league, below only Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, and Chris Godwin. But TJ Houshmandzadeh just said on TV he did nothing. Amazing.

2) He also brought up Curtis Samuel when talking about first round picks, despite the fact Curtis Samuel was a 2nd round pick. And not for nothing, he had 54 grabs for 627 yards and 6 TDs, which I don’t know, is pretty good for a 23 year old 2nd round pick WR.

So credit where credit is due, good on TJ Houshmandzadeh for going on TV as unprepared as possible and spitting out the most wrong information he could. I will never understand why these guys don’t the bare minimum amount of prep. Going to talk about the Panthers offense? Spend 4 seconds on ESPN.com to see how they did. It’s so simple.

And never, ever say DJ Moore did “nothing”. Terp WRs don’t do “nothing”.
