Two Lions Have Died At A Chicago Zoo In The Past Two Weeks

This sucks and is sad.

Brookfield Zoo currently has no lions after two tragic deaths. First Zenda was euthanized because he was old and in rough shape and then Isis has a freak accident a couple weeks later. I'm sure Isis was down in the dumps after losing her mate so it makes it even more heartbreaking that she passed probably thinking about Zenda.

The bad news doesn't end there though.

Apparently Lincoln Park Zoo is building a new lion exhibit so they shipped the ones they had to Kansas for 18 months so there are currently no lions in Chicago. What's a zoo without a lion? They're the star the of the show.

Such a bummer. Need the primate house and the reptile cave to stay strong.
