Akon Is Building His Own Futuristic City In Africa Called Akon City Which Will Exclusively Use His Own Cryptocurrency Called Akoin
CNN- Rapper Akon is building a new futuristic 'Crypto city,' in Senegal, which will trade exclusively in his own digital cash currency called AKoin. The US-born singer, who is of Senegalese descent, says his futuristic city will be built on a 2,000-acre land gifted to him by the President of Senegal, Macky Sall.
According to its official website, the city will be a five-minute drive from the West African state's new international airport. While the city project is still in development, AKoin is expected to launch early July.
Despite cryptocurrency being around for a while and running through Barstool HQ like the stomach bug at a daycare, I must admit I still have noooooo clue how the hell any of that stuff works. I know people somehow mine crypto, yet the mere thought of how all that happens makes my brain hurt even more.
But despite all that, I am all in on Akoin. ALL IN. You know why? Because Akon's fame and fortune was built on combining his talents with the prevalent technology at the time (which 10 years ago was autotune).
What followed was a takeover of an industry we haven't seen since Henry Ford was shoving Model T's down the throats of Americans.

If Akon can conquer the music business with his autotuned voice of an angel, I shudder at what his brain can do with a city powered by his own cryptocurrency, a brand new airport down the road, and a marketing team that came up with Akon City as well as Akoin.
I know some people will be skeptical since Africa is a big unknown for many of us outside of what we have heard/seen through Zah and Donnie.
But obviously it is a huge continent rife with opportunity, which Akon has already invested in.
His most recent venture is Akon Lighting Africa which is providing solar power to African countries.
While crypto is different than music or even power, tell me you aren't interested in Akoin after seeing THIS.
That shit is straight out of Wakanda. Today Akon city is mining Akoin using solar power he helped create, tomorrow it is mining vibranium and becoming the fertile crescent of technology with a giant forcefield around it that can protect it from everything, including nukes and Thanos.
