Per 20,000 Sources, "Boston Sucks" And The Sixers Continue To Bully The Celtics

I have to admit, I'm a little upset right now. I'm upset because the Sixers and Celtics used to be such a great rivalry in the NBA. It was one of the all-time matchups. Two teams that absolutely despise each other. Two fan bases that couldn't possibly be any different from each other. So much hatred and spirit in this battle of titans. But now? Well...I mean...is this even a rivalry anymore?

The Sixers were already 2-0 against the Celtics heading into tonight's game. Then you get the news that Joel Embiid is going to be out for a few weeks with a torn ligament in his left hand and you figure that maybe the Celtics would finally get a gift win here. Especially when they were up by like 15 at one point. But no. This team just rolled over and let the Sixers pet their belly. They said, "Please no, Mr. Simmons. Please don't hurt us too bad! We promise we'll be good! We swear!". But did Ben Simmons listen to their pleas for mercy?

For sure not.

Nor did noted Philadelphia sports legend Al Horford.

3-0 on the season matchup. 4 straight wins head-to-head. It was a great win for sure, but just sad to see a once storied rivalry come to an end. Oh well. Maybe Milwaukee can pick up the slack in the rivalry department.
