Is Everyone Just Taking A Half Day Today?

I couldn’t be more excited for day baseball in October. Day games are the way baseball was originally intended to be played. Of course, it was also intended to be played with all white people (they really wanted nothing dark associated with the game), but the day rule I’ll still get behind.

However, I recognize that I’m in a unique situation… so how is everybody else in Boston handling the 3 o’clock start? You’re all just taking half days right? Any boss that doesn’t let you leave the office at like 2:30 is a complete and utter dickhead. You know how people say things during the summer like “If your boss still has you in the office at 3 PM on Memorial Day weekend then you need to quit and find a new job.” Same goes for Opening Day of Red Sox postseason baseball. If you’re not allowed to head out and catch the Sox then you need to find a new job. Memorial Day is the official start of summer and should be celebrated as such, that’s why you can leave early. Well Red Sox playoff baseball is the official start of fall and that too deserves equal celebration.
