Daily Mail - This is the astonishing moment a 93-year-old man shoots an apartment complex manager in both legs after holding him responsible for flooding in his Las Vegas home.

Robert Thomas, 93, became ‘upset’ after his Las Vegas apartment was damaged by water and blamed the management staff, police said.

He armed himself with a 9mm handgun and marched into the leasing office of Vista Del Valle apartments at around 9.15am, on January 2, brandishing the weapon at terrified workers.

As a female employee desperately called 911, the police call dispatcher could hear Thomas firing at a computer screen and making threats before shooting the defenseless maintenance manager twice in cold blood.

Look. I’m not going to sit here and condone gun violence. I want to be on the record that shooting people=bad.

HOWEVER.

Sometimes….you gotta do what you gotta do. All I’m saying is when there is water damage in a 93 year old Vegas man’s apartment, sometimes you’re gonna get shot in the legs and there’s nothing you can do about it. That’s just old school Vegas for you. You cheat someone? You get your ribs broken. You owe your bookie money? You get your house robbed. You allow water damage in your tenant’s apartment? You get fucking shot in both of your legs. Thems the rules!

And look at this guy. He is something straight out of a Las Vegas mob movie:

The old suit, the hat, the pistol. I don’t want to make light of the fact that he coulda killed this innocent man…buttttttttt…he did have water damage and when it comes to dealing with landlords, I am generally going to side with the tenant. I just am. We’ve all been there. We’ve all wanted to murder our landlord for not giving a fuckkkk about what’s happening in your apartment. For example, when this happened in my apartment:

Just casual, no big deal, and my landlord was in no rush to fix it. I was like, are we watching the same video? Are you seeing what I’m seeing? “Yeah, we’ll take care of it later”. Was he trying to get me to shoot him in both legs?

Another time, and I don’t know why I can’t find the video, I had a bathroom lightswitch that when you turned it on, sparks flew like the 4th of July and shocked your entire body. Yeah it was a cool little show and the shock really got you up and ready to go in the morning, but I would have preferred my apartment not be on the verge of burning down if I wanted to brush my teeth. Called my landlord, same sort of response. Just in no hurry whatsoever to fix it. “Don’t turn on the light” was the answer I got. Well….you aren’t wrong, that is a valid fix. But it’s answers like those that get you shot.

So again. Should you put on your finest hat, grab a pistol, and march on down to the landlord’s office? No. We shouldn’t do that.

HOWEVER.

You know.

PS: Old people are wild. They know they are dying any second and they truly don’t give a fuck. It must be sort of relieving to be that old. Like from 0-85 years old you still have to follow basic rules and laws, but once you hit 86 you’re like “I’m still alive?? Jesus Christ.” and you start just living your wildest, most reckless life, doing things that nobody else can do. Because what are they going to do, throw your 93 year old geriatric ass into prison? So that’s why he goes

Prosecutors allege that Thomas told detectives following his arrest that he would ‘do it again’ and that his intent was to harm the apartment manager, according to Fox5.

Legend.
