Psychic Convinces Mother That Her Daughter Is Possessed, Fleeces Her Out of $70K

SOMERSET, MA – A woman claiming to be a psychic stole more than $70,000 from a client by telling the woman her 10-year-old daughter was possessed by a demon and she needed the money to banish the spirit, police in Massachusetts said.

Tracy Milanovich, 37, of Somerset, is charged with obtaining property by trick, along with larceny and witness intimidation, Somerset police said in a statement Thursday.

Police started investigating Dec. 17 when the alleged victim reported that she was tricked by Milanovich into handing over large sums of cash along with household items, including towels and bedding, to battle the demon.

The allegations date to Nov. 15, when the woman first went to Milanovich’s business, Tracy’s Psychic Palm Reader, for a tarot card reading, police said in their report.

Milanovich was arrested Dec. 27. She was arraigned in Fall River District Court this week and released on personal recognizance.

A message seeking comment was left at her business.

Somerset police are asking anyone who thinks they have been victimized by Milanovich to contact them.

The main takeaway from this whole debacle has to be that Tracy Milanovich is the best Psychic Palm Reader of all time. I say that regardless of the various services she may offer, but rather the fact that she's so good at making people scared that she was able to take this woman for more than $70,000. I mean isn't that all a palm reader is... fake? Don't they tell people that it's all for entertainment and to not take it seriously? I've never been one to fall for this foolish idea of demons and ghouls and whatever the fuck so I genuinely have no clue.

Sure, one may argue that it's a "dick move" to convince a loving mother that her daughter is currently filled with literal demons that she's going to have to battle. I mean. Come. On. Give me something to work with here. Something to make me say "ah jeez, you know, I feel bad for these people". But when you go looking for this type of weird demonic shit by taking your 10-year-old daughter to see some tarot cards, you deserve to get $70K stolen.

What was the $70K going to help with anyway? Were they gonna pay the alleged demon? So many questions with not enough answers. And if the mom was so deep into this, why'd she go to the police? Did she snap back to reality and realize how preposterous it is to just cough up that much money for a complete and total stranger. I don't know. I feel like there are definitely some key points that are missing from this article. It just seems too easy to say it was simply a fake demon that made the mom pay her $70k.

I'd like to think that they just had a full-on exorcism that just ran up the bill and when nothing happened, the mother freaked out.

Well, whatever actually happened there is no reason you should be giving some psychic $70k, honestly 0 situations where it makes any sense whatsoever.
