Barstool Fantasy League Championship Recap: Roney Baby the Champ

So after 16 weeks, it all came down to the Philly Showdown — Rone vs. Smitty.

These two were solid all season, lurking behind the big names of Breakfast Plus Balls and Pardon My Take and waiting for an opportunity to pounce. They did just that in the semifinals, pulling the upsets to create the all-Philly championship. Both of these guys should be proud of the effort they put forth this season, but there can only be one champ.

Rone 169.56, Smitty 100.20

What a performance from Rone. With Fantasy Football Factory on the line, he showed up and showed out to keep the FFF crew intact.

Saquon Barkley went off for 44 points, which put this one all but out of reach for Smitty from the get-go. Mark Andrews — who Rone debated sitting in favor of Darren Waller on last week's show — added 27 for good measure.

So while Rone fell flat in the producers' league, he more than made up for it by representing the podcast as the champion in the content league — our producer Arya won the producers' league, too. Feels good to be winners.

So that's it for the 2019 iteration of the Barstool Fantasy Football League. There were some ups and downs, but it was a blast to get to talk about fantasy football with all our union members of the Factory every week and I can't wait to do it again in 2020. Thank you to everyone who followed along all season and we'll be back bigger and better than ever next year.
