Neil deGrasse Tyson Just Threw His Hat In The Ring For 'Weirdest Tweet Of 2019'

Broooooooooo what?!?!?!?!?!?! Why?! Right at the buzzer! 2019 is about to come to a close and Neil deGrasse Tyson gets in under the wire with one of the weirdest and most off-putting tweets of the year. I put ‘weirdest tweet of 2019′ in the title of the blog but that might be the weirdest tweet of all time. Just a completely unnecessary thing to put out into the universe, especially before noon. Like most other things Neil deGrasse Tyson says, what he said is true and accurate, you can kiss yourself in the mirror, but only on the lips, but I follow NDT for easily-consumable bites about science and astro physics. I do not follow him for little tidbits about how you can make out with yourself in the mirror.

That tweet means NDT was totally trying this, right? He was going full A-Rod in the mirror this morning and thought, “Hey this could be a tweet” and then did it. Stunning. Something about the comma in that tweet really hits harder than any other comma I’ve ever seen. That comma feels like the edge of a cliff, right before things are about to get SUPER weird and boy did they. “but only on the lips” is something I’m gonna see in my nightmares for the foreseeable future. Fucking weird, NDT. Real fucking weird.
