"I Absolutely Shit My Pants" - This Steven Adams Post-Game Interview Belongs In The Hall of Fame

There are very few things better than when athletes answer questions from the media like actual human beings. Typically there are two ways that athletes go about these situations. They either give the classic canned coach-speak responses, or they're overly confident to the point where you think they're auditioning for a WWE contract.

But not Steven Adams. After going up to the line with a chance to put his team ahead and cap off a massive comeback in front of the home crowd, he said exactly how he was feeling at that very moment. He wasn't thinking about all the preparation that went in to that moment. He wasn't thinking that he's a professional basketball player for a reason and should be able to knock down those shots. He was absolutely shitting his pants at the idea that he could choke and fuck up the whole thing for everybody. You dream as a kid about that moment but when that moment actually got to Steven Adams? Shit directly in pants. Luckily more in a literal way than a figurative way, because he didn't shit his pants when it came to actually making one of the shots. Even though he, himself, admits that missing free throws is what he's most elite at.

And on top of it all, he gives us the perfect way to describe the feeling of any massive comeback. I mean sure, comebacks are great and everything. But by the definition of a comeback, the first thing that happens is that your team needs to suck ass in the beginning and put yourselves in a massive hole. All of that combined with the accent? That's a perfect 10 as far as post-game interviews go.
