Barstool Fantasy League Semifinals Recap: Upset City

So after 15 weeks, we're down to just two. The top four seeds entered this weekend, but only two would survive and advance to the final round. Would it be the top two seed who dominated all season? Or would there be an upset or two en route to the finals?

No. 4 Rone 156.14, No. 1 Breakfast Plus Balls 116.58

Wow.

After a thoroughly dominant regular season, Glenny and the Breakfast crew get blindsided in the semifinals by Rone — whose producers' league team was so awful he had to do a 12-hour overnight radio shift. This is why you play the games, folks.

Saquon Barkley returned to form and Chris Carson had one of his best games of the season to put this one out of Glenny's reach. This season looked like Breakfast Plus Balls was headed on a collision course with Pardon My Take in the championship round, but things don't always turn out the way we expect.

No. 3 Smitty 137.42, No. 2 Pardon My Take 108.38

As I said, there's a reason you don't play these games on paper. After Balls went down, Smitty ensured neither of the top two seeds would see the championship round. This game pretty much mirrored the other semifinal matchup — PMT scored more than 100 points, but Smitty had four players score at least 19.50 points to keep them at arm's length.

So we have the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds meeting in the championship of the inaugural season of the Barstool Fantasy League. The current projection for the final matchup of the year has Rone at a 10-point advantage, but you can toss the projections out the window when you get to this point. One last ride for all the marbles. Let's do it.
