Rick Pitino's Greek Team Has To Play A Game Without Fans Because They Were Setting Off Too Many Fireworks INSIDE The Damn Arena

[Source] - Per EuroLeague: “PANATHINAIKOS OPAP ATHENS has been sanctioned with fines totaling €54,001 and a sanction to play its next home game played behind closed doors, for the failure to adopt the necessary security measures, the lighting of flares and fireworks inside the arena, committing acts that show a lack of respect, on occasion of its home game against Olympiacos Piraeus under articles 29.1.h), 29.2.e), 27.2.b), and 29.2.g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

I'm absolutely addicted to European basketball. You throw Rick Pitino out there and it's even better. Why? Because of shit like this. Panathinaikos - one of the most known and successful European basketball teams - has to play a game without fans because they set off too many goddamn fireworks and flares INSIDE The arena. I mean, can't necessarily be surprised, look at some of the stories over the last year with Pitino and Europe: 

Imagine playing in this environment? I mean we hear things about crazy college hoops venues and rightfully so. But I don’t see fucking fireworks going off. I don’t see that chanting. I have no idea what they are saying but I’m pretty sure it would make me piss down my leg immediately.

l want Rick back in the State as soon as possible because he's a content machine, but him being in Greece makes for great action. We have thongs, we have chickens, we have teams quitting the league, it's all perfect. Again, I just can't imagine what it's like playing in this setting. Trying to get to the line and take a deep breath for a free throw before a fucking flare goes off behind the hoop.
