Patrick Reed Taunts The Crowd At The Presidents Cup And Pretends To Dig With A Shovel

Listen I get that Patrick Reed is a controversial figure in the game of golf and sports in general. He’s as polarizing as it gets. Lots and lots and lots of people hate him, and I get why, and he’s coming into this week as controversial as ever. He had the whole cheating thing happen in the Bahamas, hopped on a plane and headed straight to Australia. Pretty much every question he’s received while in Melbourne has been about what happened in the Bahamas. He does things that rubs just about everyone the wrong way.

But with alllllllllll that said, I fucking love when he does shit like this. He loves it, too. Pretending to shovel after making a birdies makes me smile. Yes he’s a bit of an asshole but it makes my American boner rock hard with patriotism when he taunts crowds. It dates all the way back to when he and Rory went back at forth in 2016. Team events like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup is when a guy like Patrick Reed shines brightest. You can hate him all you want when it’s a normal PGA Tour event but you gotta love him during moments like the one above. You just gotta.

PS- It would be cooler if we weren’t getting our shit kicked in by the International Team but whatever.
